Dr. Muizzu has promised to double the salaries of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and the Maldives Police Service (MPS) if elected as the nation’s leader.
Addressing a passionate crowd of supporters, Dr. Muizzu emphasized the critical roles played by the MNDF and MPS in safeguarding the nation’s independence and stability. He expressed immense pride in the dedication and service these institutions provide to the Maldives.

In addition to the salary increment, Dr. Muizzu outlined several other measures aimed at improving the well-being of military and police personnel. He proposed streamlining the rental process for flats designated for MNDF and MPS officers, making it easier for them to access suitable housing. Furthermore, Dr. Muizzu suggested a one-year deferment of rent payments for these officers.
For those residing in Hiya flats, a significant reduction in rent was also pledged, demonstrating Dr. Muizzu’s commitment to enhancing the living standards of the people.
