The President’s Office has announced that the official working hours for government offices during the month of Ramadan will be from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm.
The change in working hours will also be applicable for the first seven days of Shawwal, which follows Ramadan.
This announcement was made in a statement released by the President’s Office on Tuesday. The statement also advised government offices to adhere to the official working hours when planning events and activities during this time.
The change in working hours for government offices in this announcement is in line with this practice. The shorter working hours are expected to help employees balance their work responsibilities with their religious duties and observances during Ramadan.
The calendar shows that Ramadan will begin on March 23 this year. The change in working hours will be in effect throughout the month of Ramadan, which typically lasts for 29 or 30 days, depending on the sighting of the new moon.
