Maldives Meteorology (MET) has revealed that the country will be experiencing heavy rainstorms and rough seas over the course of the next two days.
MET had previously stated that the country is currently experiencing the ‘Hulhangu’ monsoon rains, which are expected to slow down by the month of November. Moreover, the next three days will see rainstorms and rough seas across the country, with winds expected to surge to 40 mph during storms.
According to future forecasts, Thursday and Friday will experience heavy rains, especially in the Central and Northern Atolls. However, weather conditions will begin to improve starting Sunday, though Western Atolls are still expected to receive rainfall.
