The Foreign Ministry has revealed that all Maldivians who were stuck in the Ukraine war zone have been safely evacuated out of the country to neighboring Hungary.
The nine remaining Maldivians crossed the Hungarian border late last night. The government has arranged their visas and financial assistance to all of them.
The nine Maldivians were transported to the Hungary’s capital Budapest, by a team from the Foreign Ministry. They will be departing to Maldives tomorrow.
Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid applauded local students for their incredible resilience and maturity shown through this difficult situation and personally checked on them.
