Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the second shipment of rock boulders needed for the Ha. Hoarafushi Airport shore protection project was delivered to the site on September 19.
In July, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure awarded the shore protection project to MTCC.
This project will include the construction of a 2,861-meter quay wall on both sides of the runway, as well as the construction of a concrete culvert on the causeway connecting Hoarafushi to the airport.
The project has an estimated value of MVR 90.5 million and is scheduled to complete within 360 days.
