Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the second shipment of rock boulders arrived at the Ha. Ihavandhoo harbor project site on August 28.
According to MTCC, the work on the harbor’s design and construction is 60 percent complete.
The overall project works include dredging and excavation operations of 30,509 cubic meters, the construction of a 95-meter quay wall, a 284-meter breakwater, and a 178-meter revetment, as well as the installation of navigation lights, streetlights, and the construction of 4,582 square meters of paved area.
The Ha. Ihavandhoo Harbor project is estimated to cost MVR 59.1 million.
