Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported that the fourth shipment of rock boulders necessary for Hoarafushi Airport Shore Protection was delivered to the project site on January 4.
In July 2021, the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure awarded the shore protection project to MTCC.
The project’s scope of works includes coastline protection and the building of a concrete culvert on the causeway that connects Hoarafushi to the airport.
The project has an estimated value of MVR 90.5 million and is scheduled to complete within 360 days.
