Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that the first shipment of rock boulders for the breakwater construction arrived at the Sh. Feydhoo Harbor project site on September 4.
According to MTCC, new harbour basin dredging operations for the project are currently underway, with 97 percent completion.
The overall project works include dredging and excavation operations totaling 27,500 cubic meters, the construction of a 378-meter breakwater, a 90-meter revetment, a 276-meter quay wall, the installation of 1,380 square meters of paved area, and the installation of streetlights and navigation lights.
The Sh. Feydhoo Harbor project is expected to cost MVR 33.1 million.
