Maldives Meteorological Services (MET) has stated that strong monsoon conditions are likely to persist over northern and central atolls during the next 36 hours.
MET issued a warning over strong winds, rough seas, and the possibility of wave surges which are expected over northern and central Atolls during the next two days. Moreover, widespread rain and thunderstorms will be experienced over the country.
All seafarers are advised to take necessary precautions in the next few days.
