Minister Shahid informed his counterpart about the current COVID-19 situation in the Maldives, as well as the preventative measures the country has taken to combat it. Concerning vaccine procurement, the Russian Foreign Minister stated that Russia will make every effort to accelerate the shipping of COVID-19 vaccine to the Maldives.
The two ministers also discussed measures to strengthen bilateral relations with Maldives and Russia.
