Ministry of Education has revealed that the first school in Hulhumale’ Phase II, Salahuddin School will be open next year.
The Education ministry contracted Amin Construction Private Limited to construct Salahuddin School in Hulhumale’ Phase II in 2021. Amin Construction is tasked with constructing the school with six floors and a capacity of 1,000 to 1,200 students within 390 days.
The company has begun construction of the building. Fieldwork is set to be completed before the end of the year and the school will be open in the next academic year.
Hulhumale’ Phase II population increased sharply when recipients of the 6,720 housing units developed under the Hiya housing project began moving into their flats last year. However, the area still lacks many essential services and infrastructure.
