Seatbelts will be compulsory to be worn when travelling in a four-wheeled vehicle beginning next month, the transport ministry has announced.
According to a statement issued by the transport ministry, seatbelts must be always worn by the driver and front seat passenger when travelling in a four-wheeled vehicle on a road with a speed restriction of more than 30 km/h.
The transport ministry also mandated that the new instructions be implemented beginning January 1st. It also advised drivers to adhere to the new rule.
In several nations, wearing a seatbelt when driving or riding in the front seat is required for both the driver and the front seat passenger when travelling on a highway.
