Beginning next month, Singapore will enable travelers arriving from the Maldives to enter the country without being quarantined.
Singapore’s Civil Aviation Authority added the Maldives and six other nations to its travel “green list,” which now includes Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji, Sri Lanka, and Turkey. With this, Singapore has allowed quarantine-free travel for a total of 27 countries.
People who have taken two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination will be eligible to travel to Singapore without being quarantined under this new policy. However, a negative PCR test is still required.
After assessing the Maldives’ COVID-19 status, Singapore announced the relaxation of travel restrictions.
Vaccinations have been administered to the vast majority of the Maldives’ population. According to official figures, around 395,470 people received the first dosage, with 362,742 receiving both doses. In addition, 7,947 individuals received the booster dose.
