Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) has revealed the tenants will begin living in the 13 towers of the 4,000 housing units being developed in Hulhumale’ phase 2 in August this year.
In September 2021, FDC signed the loan agreements for the construction of 4,000 new housing units with two different Indian companies. As such, 2,000 social housing units are developed by NBCC India Limited and another 2,000 social housing units are being developed by JMC Projects (India) Limited.
While the construction of the flats is underway, FDC has prepared two units as “experience units” to showcase what the units will look like when completed. The 2 units are located in the 12th tower of the towers being constructed by JMC. The “Experience Unit” consists of two 3-bedroom units. The 2 units are equipped with household appliances, furniture sets and other items.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inspected the progress of the experience units and the towers developed in the project. FDC said the experience units will soon be opened to the public. The 4,000 housing units in 32 towers are 17 and 18 storey towers. Work of 13 towers is currently underway, noted FDC.
