Mohamed Rasheed, the chairman of State Electric Company (STELCO), died on Sunday at the age of 71.
According to reports, he died while seeking treatment at ADK Hospital in Male’ City.
He began working with STELCO as an apprentice in 1971 and worked for 50 years until being appointed chairman in February 2019.
He began his career as an engineer and ascended through the ranks to become Deputy Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman.
