State Trading Organization (STO) has opened the first fuel testing laboratory in the Maldives.
The laboratory will be operated by Geo-Chem Middle East, a top inspection and testing company headquartered in Dubai.
STO’s Managing Director Hussain Amr said the laboratory will be able to test petrol, diesel and jet fuel imported into Maldives, to maintain the quality of fuel imported into Maldives like in most developed countries.
Geo-Chem’s Director Pradeep Gopal said the laboratory will have ISO and ICC 1705:2017 accreditation, ensuring the credibility of tests conducted at the laboratory.
Moreover, Geo-Chem assured it will offer testing services at a good price , compared to international rates so that the local businesses can get immediate results at an affordable price.
