State Trading Organisation (STO) has re-opened People’s Choice Supermart with major renovations and a hypermarket. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Faisal Naseem.
Speaking at the re-opening ceremony, Vice President Naseem praised STO for allowing private businesses to market their products at the supermarket and said it was an important step to expand the Maldives economy.
Managing Director of STO Hussain Amr noted the many achievements and milestones reached by the state-owned company and said the renovations at the supermarket come with major changes to the company along with products from nine businesses and that STO is in discussions to collaborate with more businesses.
The new businesses marketing their products at the supermarket include New Education Private Limited, City Investment Private Limited, Madihaa Company Private Limited, Asrafee Bookshop, Poise Perfumes, Maxcom Technologies Private Limited, Marathon Shop Maldives, and Peekaboo.
