Thirty-two Maldivian students have completed the Junior Astronaut Programme by Institute of Global Success (IGS), held at HDh. Kulhudhufushi and Male’.
They were awarded a certificate by Canadian Space Agency during a special ceremony held at STELCO, by the Chairman of IGS Riffath Mohamed.
The three main modules taught were:
– Space fitness: food and how to maintain eating habits in space
– Space science and technology
– Teamwork in space
IGS has provided the opportunity for the students who completed the programme to get additional training directly from NASA in the United States.
