Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, Chairman of Sun Siyam Resorts, has rejected the allegations against his company in a press release. This was in response to a media report regarding a High Court order directing the company to postpone payment to Hilton Maldives.
Siyam denied the report’s claims and accused the media outlet of defaming him and his company by publishing inaccurate information about the case. He clarified that Hilton had not invested in Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, but rather Sun Siyam Resorts had invested in the resort, and Hilton was appointed to manage it. He also criticized the report for accusing the High Court’s order of being politically motivated without any evidence.
Siyam also accused the media outlet of attempting to harm his reputation and business and denied allegations that he had threatened the reporter or the media outlet. He urged the media to be more responsible in their reporting.
