Maldives Police Service have arrested a suspect who is accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger.
The victim was identified as a 20-year-old Maldivian woman, who boarded a taxi from Male’ City in the early hours of Monday. She was taken to Hulhumale’ Phase II against her will and sexually assaulted.
A 41-year-old Maldivian man was arrested in connection to the case.
