GDh. Thinadhoo Island Council is opening applications for 150 land plots ranging from 1,500-2,000sqft each, situated in the designated residential area of Thinadhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. Of these, 70 plots will be allocated to residents, 66 to non-residents, three to local businesses owned by non-residents, five to single parents, and six to professionals in the service sector. Interested parties can submit their applications between May 18 and June 1.
The council has outlined certain responsibilities that come with land ownership, including the construction of a properly sheltered home with rooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen, as per the relevant regulations. The landowners will also be required to construct a street-facing wall, paint their house, and display an address plate.
