In a significant move, Minister of Tourism Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has officially become a member of the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
The transformation was formalized during a special ceremony held at the esteemed Salt Cafe’ and Restaurant in Male’ City. The ceremonial moment saw President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih receive Minister Mausoom’s membership form, marking his official integration into the party.
This strategic decision comes on the heels of Minister Mausoom’s resignation from the Jumhooree Party (JP) on August 7, signalling his alignment with President Solih’s re-election endeavor in the imminent presidential election.
