Tourism Ministry has extended bidding deadline of 18 islands for resort development purposes.
The islands for sale for resort development are as below:
- HA. Madhafushi – 10.90 hectares (USD 875,000)
- HA. Alidhuffarufinolhu – 3 hectares (USD 350,000)
- HDh. Kudafarufasgandu – 1.20 hectares (USD 200,000)
- Sh. Kudalhaimendhoo – 14.70 hectares (USD 1 Million)
- R. Alifushi and Etthingili – 10 to 20 hectares from the lagoons (USD 250,000)
- M. Seedhihuraa and Seedhihuraaveligandu – 4.28 hectares (USD 875,000)
- M. Maausfushi – 10.40 hectares (USD 1.5 Million)
- F. Enbulufushi – 1.00 hectares (USD 350,000)
- F. Jinnathugau – 0.89 hectares (USD 350,000)
- Th. Kaaddoo – 3.9 hectares (USD 700,000)
- Th. Olhufushi and Olhufushifinolhu – 3.54 hectares (USD 700,000)
- L. Kashidhoo – 3.1 hectares (USD 700,000)
- L. Bodumungnafushi – 3 hectares (USD 700,000)
- L. Dhonbereha and Holhareha – 4.44 hectares (USD 500,000)
- GA. Maarehaa – 17 hectares (USD 1.4 Million)
- GA. Funadhooviligillaa – 5 hectares (USD 700,000)
- GDh. Kan’dahalagalaa – 7.4 hectares (USD 875,000)
- GDh. Ferettha Viligillaa and Dhekaanbaa and Koderataa – 9.26 hectares (USD 700,000)
Although the initial deadline for bid submission announced by the Tourism Ministry was the end of this month, the ministry just announced that the deadline has been extended until March.
The deadline for bid submissions for islands from Haa Alif, Haa Dhaal, Shaviyani, Raa, Meemu, Faafu, Thaa atolls is 22nd March 2022 and the deadline for the islands from Laamu, Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu atolls is 23rd March 2022.
