United Arab Emirates (UAE) has provided their assistance in the investigation into the May 6th bomb attack, which seriously injured Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed and a few others.
Speaker Nasheed, who is currently undergoing additional treatment in Germany, thanked the Speaker of the UAE’s Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, in a tweet for the call to check on him and for the best wishes from Federal National Council. He also expressed gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for assisting with the investigation.
Furthermore, he said that the UAE’s expertise would be useful in tracking the money trail behind the attack.
Several other nations, including Australia and the United Kingdom, have offered their assistance in the investigation of the IED blast, which occurred on May 6th around 8:20pm near the residence of Speaker Mohamed Nasheed.
