Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has signed a contract with the Ministry of National Planning, Housing, and Infrastructure to carry out the R. Ungoofaaru Channel Relocation Project.
The agreement was signed on Thursday by MTCC CEO Adam Azim and MNPHI Permanent Secretary Zeeniya Hameed at a ceremony attended by Ungoofaaru Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed.
The scope of work includes 41,980 cubic meters of channel dredging, the building of a 162-meter breakwater, and the installation of navigation lights.
The project is worth MVR 18.58 million and is expected to be finished in 210 days.
