The government of the United States has again donated 210,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the Maldives.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current President of the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Abdulla Shahid expressed his gratitude to the American Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the government of America for donating the latest batch of COVID-19 vaccine.
“These vaccines will bolster our efforts to provide booster shots for all Maldivian and assist in our vaccination efforts,” he tweeted.
In addition to vaccines, the US government has donated emergency equipment worth USD 7 million, training programmes, 60 ventilators and 100,000 rapid diagnostic tests.
