Velana International Airport (VIA)’s check-in system is still not resolved and will require a further three days to fix, according to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).
MACL, which manages VIA, has previously never faced such a check-in system issue. However, the software issue with the check-in system was first noticed last Monday, resulting in manual check-ins and delayed flights. Moreover, the exact issue with the check in softwares is still not identified, according to the company.
The airport will experience intermittent system outages, which now will result in both domestic and international travellers experiencing long check-in durations. MACL urged travelers to contact their airline operators to get latest information on their check-in timings.
