Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced that its newly built VIP/CIP terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA) is set to open next month.
In a circular sent to its corporate customers, MACL stated that the services rendered at its previous VIP terminal will be transitioned to the new VIP/CIP complex by January 12th.
The new VIP/CIP terminal’s major works has been completed for a number of days, however, due to pending finishing and furnishing works the terminal was never officially opened.
The new terminal is equipped with latest and more facilities along with a separate area for CIP customers and a special lounge for VIP customers. Despite the relocation to the new terminal, there will be no further changes to its service pricings for now, according to MACL.
The second phase of development will commence soon for the current VIP terminal after the relocation. Moreover, the current VIP terminal will be expanded to 6,800 square feet once the second phase of development is completed.
