The Villa Foundation has teamed up with the Maldivian Nurses Association (MNA) to launch a scholarship scheme for nursing students, which is set to be officially launched on International Nurses Day.
The Executive Director of Villa Foundation, Mohamed Hameed, emphasised the significant role that nurses play in society and stated that the scholarship scheme would offer opportunities for students to make a valuable contribution to the health sector in the Maldives.
Secretary General of the MNA, Mariyam Shifaana, described investing in nursing education as an important step towards strengthening the health sector in the Maldives and expressed her pleasure in introducing the scholarship scheme in collaboration with the Villa Foundation.
The scheme will award three annual scholarships for students pursuing a diploma in nursing at Villa College. The Foundation will offer two scholarships to women and one to a man.
MNA, which is a leading organisation promoting the field of nursing in the Maldives, noted that this scholarship scheme provides a golden opportunity for students to study nursing under its guidance.
