Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has started a marketing campaign with India’s number one e-commerce platform, Amazon India.
As part of this, Visit Maldives will be advertised from 14th April to 13th May on the Amazon app which has 35 million daily users and 310 million monthly unique visitors.
MMPRC said this will increase awareness of Maldives as a safe preferred tourist destination among the Amazon India userbase.
This campaign is associated with Visit Maldives’ strategy to reach pre-pandemic arrival figures and establish India as the fastest growing tourist market for Maldives.
According to the statistics revealed by Tourism Ministry, around 23% of tourist arrivals until the end of March were from India, recording the country as the top source market for tourism in the Maldives.
